My taster day at PORR
On 29 January 2025, I had the opportunity to spend a day at PORR AG. The impressive building in Vienna showed me just how big and diverse the company is.
At PORR Equipment Services (PES), I experienced a friendly and team-orientated atmosphere. You could feel that everyone enjoys working together and enjoys their work. I was given an insight into everyday office life, assisted with mail processing and was allowed to see how an app is programmed.
PORR Umwelttechnik (PUT) offered a different but equally positive atmosphere. Two employees gave me a very good overview of PUT and were extremely friendly and committed. The discussions with them encouraged me to choose my future school. A highlight for me was the tour of the landfill site, where I learnt a lot about waste production and disposal. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the landfill - I hadn't expected such a natural site in the centre of Vienna!
All in all, my taster day left a very positive impression. The friendliness and satisfaction of the employees convinced me that the construction industry is just right for me.
